With VAN Magazine, I rang in the new year at the San Francisco Symphony, talking to audience members about the evening’s entertainment. I also wrote about Libby Larsen and Timo Andres for SFCV.
I spent January playing Prokofiev and American pops (it's always good to revisit those Bernstein and Copland works!), studying Hindemith, and performing at educational outreach concerts for elementary school students in the Central Valley.
Emailing, consulting with colleagues, and brochure-making also kept me busy. I'm excited to direct SoundArts, the new chamber music program at New World Music Academy! Chamber music is such an important part of music education, and I can't wait to put students into their first ensembles.
Lessons are back in full swing — but I also had time to hike in Utah.
